Recurring need to run fsck manually

by J.Doe   Last Updated November 04, 2017 09:02 AM

I encountered whilst booting a while ago about the "unexpected inconsistency" telling me I need to "run fsck manually" and so I searched the forums which then told me to type "fsck /dev/sda1" and answer "y" to all the prompts.

This worked well, however, I found myself needing to do it about one in every 10 boots which leaves me to believe something is wrong which causes this to happen as often as it does.

I would gladly appreciate anyone's help as to what the problem is here as I am quite new to linux. Thanks for reading.
