Error mounting filesystem

I need to access files from an old Windows XP computer that crashed (my grandfather's), but I am getting this error message:

Error mounting /dev/sda2 at/media/ubuntu/0A54868154866EEF:
Command-line 'mount-t"ntfs" -o
"uhelper=udisks2,nodev,nosuid,uid=999,gid=999""/dev/sda2""/media/ubuntu/0A54868154866EEF exited with non-zero exit status 18: ntfs_attr_pread_i: ntfs_pread failed: Input/output error
Failed to read vcn0x2:Input/output error
Failed to open $Secure: No such file or directory
Failed to mount'/dev'sda2':No such file or directory
 (udisks-error-quark, 0)

I think the issue is that the computer did not shut down properly?

Thanks in advance.
