menu in question:

<nav class="navbar navbar-expand navbar-light bg-light" role="navigation">

        <div class ="container-fluid">

             <button class="navbar-toggle collapsed" type="button" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navcollapse"

                     <span class="icon-bar"></span>
             </button>
                <?php wp_nav_menu( array( 'theme_location' => 'primary',
                                          'menu' => 'primary-menu',
                                          'depth'=>2,
                                          'menu_class' => 'nav navbar-nav',
                                          'container' => 'div',
                                          'container_class'=>'navbar-collapse',
                                          'container_id'=>'navcollapse',
                                          'fallback_cb'=>'wp_bootstrap_navwalker::fallback',
                                          'walker'=>new wp_bootstrap_navwalker(),
                                          ) ); ?>

issue: button while changing its state will not expand submenus.
